Globanet Analyze

Symantec Enterprise Vault and Microsoft Exchange store vast quantities of data, but do you have any idea what is kept in those repositories or the future growth trend of your data? Now you can find out with Globanet Analyze. This new product (scheduled for release soon) allows you to analyze your existing repositories, dividing data into groups that you define and reporting on those groups graphically, using interactive charting. Charts allow you to manipulate the data and get an immediate picture of the following data points:
- How many messages there are, and how much storage is consumed by each group you define
- What the growth of data looks like for each group over a period of time you specify, broken down into days, months, quarters or years – you choose
- What the future growth trend looks like – given your past and current data growth, Globanet Analyze helps you answer questions such as "how much data will my executives be storing in two years?"
Groups can be defined based on any Enterprise Vault index criteria, including the presence of a shortcut. This might include a group of "executive members," a group of "data with Excel attachments that contain 'rate' in the subject or body" or a group defined as "messages larger than 100KB that have been sent to or from the sales team." Defining groups not only helps you understand your past and future data trends, but it also assists in defining prospective ediscovery loads, identifying the size of data that needs to enter the ediscovery process ahead of time.
