IAMCP Announces Globanet as a Finalist in the 2016 Global Partner-to-Partner Awards Program

International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners Celebrates Globanet as a Finalist in the 2016 IAMCP Member Awards Program. Winners and Runners-Up to be announced at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto on July 11, 2016

REDMOND, Wash. – July 5, 2016 – The International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners is delighted to recognize Globanet as one of the top partners in the IAMCP global community for achieving excellence in partner-to-partner (P2P) solutions that drive customer value.

“We have been overwhelmed at the quality of the submissions this year,” said award committee chairperson and former IAMCP President, Gail Mercer-MacKay. “Our partners are not only innovating, they are delivering unparalleled value by working together to create solutions that drive positive business outcomes.”

In Globanet’s case, a global staffing firm sought to migrate the email accounts of 5,000 users to Microsoft Office 365. The client was challenged to move eight years’ worth of emails, which had been archived using Veritas Enterprise Vault, to the cloud-based Office 365, while protecting against data loss, preventing end-user disruption, avoiding the need to for users to search for data in duplicate locations and maintaining full chain of custody.  To have a smooth and successful migration, a high level of expertise in moving data between these two environments would be required.

Globanet partnered with TransVault to help the client successfully migrate their end users’ 7 TBs of emails.  TransVault contributed its highly-specialized TransVault Sprint migration solution, which enables policy-based email archive migration direct into Mircosoft Office 365.  The Sprint software played an integral role in ensuring a successful and accurate archive migration, with TransVault providing exceptional product support as required.

Globanet, who was already familiar with deploying TransVault Sprint migration software, worked with the client to create an Enterprise Vault Archive Data Test Group to show how archived data will eventually reside in Office 365, and how users can search for their data in Office 365. This innovative step by Globanet was critical to the success of the migration as the client’s Executive Team made it clear that they did not want their end users to search two locations for their data.

Remarked Sevag Ajemian, President and CEO at Globanet, “The biggest benefit the client received by partnering with TransVault and Globanet, was a smooth and successful transition to Office 365 for their end users. This was a result of a ‘staggered deployment model’ TransVault and Globanet instituted. This approach was instrumental in driving pain-free adoption of the new Office 365 email application by the client’s end users.”

Through partnering and becoming an IAMCP finalist, TransVault and Globanet gained experience collaborating on a challenging project that required migrating years’ worth of archived emails for over 5,000 users to Office 365, while avoiding data loss, preventing downtime and meeting the client’s most critical requirements.   The client was highly satisfied with the migration.  Moreover, both Partners learned from the challenges of this engagement and have now teamed on several new Office 365 migration projects that will close in the very near future.
