New Company, Great New Challenge
Today is a fantastic day! It's my first day working for Globanet. After three-and-a-half years as chief technologist at TransVault Software, having built a multi-product portfolio from a single product and increased project delivery from a handful to hundreds of customers, I was ready to take on a new challenge. Globanet really interested me as a company to work with because of its extensive product set, including innovative solutions like GEM and Merge1. In my new role as director of product development, I will focus on building our technologies and new OEM and partner relationships.
Globanet is in a very unique position, working at very deep levels in the eDiscovery, compliance, archiving and migration markets while offering a unique breed of services and technologies. As I learned and understood more about Globanet and the products the company currently offers, I have gotten more excited about this new chapter in my career, realizing that we offer customers and partners products with features and functionality that nobody else can or does, whether it's migration, social archiving or compliance.
I look forward to working with the whole team, not only as we build our customer base, but also as we prepare to launch our new set of products. I'll be spending some of my time in the U.S. and some in our new UK office as well as writing regular blog entries and keeping in touch. Director of Product Development
Dan Clark has been in the information management industry for more than 10 years, with a particular focus on ediscovery and archiving over the last five years. He joined Globanet from a leading software development organization focusing on archive and data migration, where he was responsible for leading and defining product, development and technical strategy. Dan has intimate knowledge of more than 12 different archiving systems, extensive knowledge of software development strategies and processes, and profound experience in migrating to and from cloud services as well as designing them. He has worked in several management roles throughout his career, including running a multi-million dollar professional services operation and shaping service strategy for an FTSE 100 services outsourcing company. A child prodigy, Dan wrote his first lines of code in BASIC when he was just five years old!
